Sony Pictures has unveiled a new set of character posters for The Social Reckoning, Aaron Sorkin’s latest drama inspired by the real-life whistleblower revelations that rocked Facebook and the tech industry.

Written and directed by the Oscar-winning screenwriter, the film returns to the world first explored in The Social Network, this time drawing on the events behind The Facebook Files investigation.

Academy Award winner Mikey Madison leads the cast as former Facebook engineer and whistleblower Frances Haugen, starring opposite The Bear‘s Jeremy Allen White as Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz. They are joined by an ensemble cast including Jeremy Strong, Wunmi Mosaku, Betty Gilpin, Billy Magnussen and Bill Burr.

According to the official synopsis, Haugen enlists Horwitz’s help on a dangerous mission to expose “the social network’s most guarded secrets”, inspired by the true story behind the landmark Wall Street Journal investigation.

The newly released character posters offer another look at the principal cast ahead of the film’s release.

Produced by Todd Black, Peter Rice, Aaron Sorkin, and Stuart Besser, The Social Reckoning arrives exclusively in UK cinemas on 9ᵗʰ October.
