Enormous Italian restaurant Juno to open at Olympia this October

A 265-cover Italian restaurant – possibly the largest in the UK – is opening at Olympia’s National Hall in Kensington on Friday 16^th October. Juno, the latest venue from London hospitality company Incipio Group, will serve Italian food, aperitivi and cocktails alongside live music and a weekly programme of themed days and offers.

The restaurant occupies 11,500 sq ft of the Grade II-listed National Hall, and forms part of the wider £1.3 billion redevelopment of Olympia London. Named after the Roman queen of the gods, Juno will open from 12pm to 11pm Sunday to Thursday and from 12pm to 11.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

The menu runs from aperitivo and small plates to homemade pasta, secondi, Neapolitan pizza and desserts. Some of the dishes on offer are Tomato and Mozzarella Paccheri, Crab Linguine and Osso Buco alla Milanese with saffron risotto and gremolata. Meanwhile, pizzas are made at a dedicated Pizza Napoletana counter, where the dough is prepared in-house and each pie is stretched, topped and baked in view of diners. And of course for dessert there’s Tiramisù, a Lemon Delizia and a Gelato Tower.

A recurring weekly schedule plays a big part in the offering. Nonna’s Lasagne Tuesdays sends every guest home a second portion of lasagne, wrapped with reheating instructions and a note from Nonna. On weekdays between 3pm and 5pm, the Gelatus Maximus deal offers bottomless gelato with a choice of 15 toppings for £5, and there’s an Aperitivo Hour from 4pm to 6pm each day, pairing drinks such as Negronis, Aperol Spritzes, Moscato and Poretti beer with cicchetti snacks. Saturdays are given over to La Grande Festa, an extended lunch of sharing dishes served with Aperol Spritzes, limoncello and a live band. Finally, on Sundays, La Famiglia features a dedicated sharing menu and porchetta, and children will receive a free meal for every adult ordering from the menu.

There’s also live entertainment, as the venue has its own stage and DJ booth. There will be performances from an in-house Italian band and resident DJs, as well as weekend shows. Incipio says the atmosphere is intended to shift over the course of the day, from quieter lunchtime dining and early-evening aperitivo to busier dinners and late drinks.
