New designers at Wolf & Badger’s fashionable Thanksgiving party

Last night quirky fashion store Wolf & Badger held a Thanksgiving party to celebrate their new range of designers. As guests entered their Mayfair store a table filled with tasty treats from across the pond, including pumpkin pie, pretzels and giant muffins, greeted them whilst a DJ mixed arty electro tracks. A cocktail bar was created towards the back of the store serving cool Buffalo Trace Kentucky bourbon whiskey cocktails and zesty citron vodka.

Wolf & Badger could be described as more of a gallery than a fashion store. There is an air of edgy talent, opulence and contrasting raw industrialism about the long shop with dark corners and stripped brick walls. The brand promotes and supports independent design talent and only stocks the best new generation fashion, jewellery, accessories and interiors brands. This ethos gives Wolf & Badger an exciting and unique selection of diverse items to offer fashion lovers who want something different.

The new range is comprised of collections from over 50 designers of men and women’s clothing, accessories and homeware. Although all the pieces are outstanding, we’ve picked out a couple of names that really caught our eye.

Jewellery designs by Italian brand Giora uses bronze, brass and copper to create their decadent jewellery inspired by fairies, myths and stories. All pieces are produced in Arezzo, Italy using traditional methods of craftsmanship.

Lulwa Al Amin is a Bahrain-born designer whose pieces are always influenced by trends but with staple elements. Unique prints, quality, beautiful silk-lined garments and easy-to-wear shapes are the foundation of each collection.

Velvet Eccentric is a jewellery brand by designer Della Reed who uses vintage fabric, feathers and brass among other materials to make her statement collars. The pieces are hand-sewn and described by reed as “pieces of soft armour” – they are a collision of fashion and art.

Wolf & Badger have stores in Notting Hill, Mayfair and Porto Montenegro, and are also available online. The designers themselves benefit directly from every purchase made, with over 80% of the total purchase price going straight to the independent designer.
