Digby & Iona is a one of a kind jewellery label created in 2006, drawing highly on inspirations from hidden treasures and unearthing ancient relics. The creator, Aaron Ruff, chose to name his label after a trip to Nova Scotia in which he named it after the two quiet seaside towns he visited whilst there.

Aaron Ruff followed in his father’s footsteps and started work as a carpenter. He also studied furniture design but his true talent was revealed when he took a class in jewellery making. Ruff has gone on to create six collections that retail in over twenty cities around the world. Each collection showcases Ruff’s talents and use different materials and designs but all with a theme of nature.

Our favourite collection from Digby & Iona is: ‘The Wood’. This unique collection uses the detail and texture found in wood to create jewellery that is guaranteed to get you noticed. This stump ring allows you to choose any two sets of initials to be engraved inside the heart and comes in a choice of solid oxidised sterling silver, oxidized vermeil and sterling with bronze.

This Rough Hewn necklace also from ‘The Wood’ collection similarly features great detail of wood grain on every side of the necklace to give a worn look. This is available in oxidized sterling silver or oxidized vermeil. The chain length is 24 inches. Like the stump ring, this can be custom made to feature any two sets of initials required.
