Be inspired by the sensational Grace Duprez jewellery collection

Grace Duprez is no ordinary designer: her philosophical tendencies lead her work to explore the idea of expression through what you wear, whether that be a piece of jewellery or body art.

Experimenting with artistic methods such as digital embroidery, Grace’s bold use of colour and graphic styling enables her to lead the way in a dramatic approach to accessorising.

Some of Grace Duprez’s projects see jewellery become a way of life as opposed to an additional style saviour in the fashion stakes. Her works of art are both individual and truly inspiring, from the cool and quirky to the downright bizarre. Clearly influenced by life itself, Grace has the ability to take something simple and make it something beautiful.

“Hair is said to be our best accessory that can represent who we are as a person, and these jewellery pieces question our relationship we have with it,” she says.

These hair accessories are the most avant-garde of her collections. Representing femininity, power and confidence, they are sure to make a statement if you dare to wear them! I love Grace’s thoughts behind her design process as they give meaning to the pieces, turning them from jewellery into works of art.

Oversized jewellery is massive right now (quite literally!) but Grace has gone that extra mile by turning everyday objects into conversation-provoking garments. Take a look at this collection. Attention seeking and bold, yet a closer look at the detailing enables you to see the beauty behind Grace’s designs.

Her personal interpretation of British culture is portrayed through the combination of tradition and heritage with a modern-day stance. The fabric manipulation is exquisite on a palette of royal blue and red – the Queen would be proud. Be influenced by Grace’s ability to clash bold colour and take graphic styling to the next level.

So now the design process and exhibition pieces have you inspired, you should shop the customer-friendly collection. I have my eye on the digitally embroidered felt ring with pink and black stitching and the bling XL necklace in yellow and black that is very Versace 2012. It seems to me that Grace Duprez could be the only way to style up your outfit right now.
