Music seems to be the biggest inspiration for our stylish designers this fashion week season, and London Fashion Week will see its fair share of designers inspired by the wonderful world of music. The Felder sisters from Germany, whose true home is London, are all set to rise a storm this London Fashion Week with their modern, sexy and cool signature designs. Annette and Daniela Felder studied at Central Saint Martin’s and started their own label in 2006. Drawing inspiration from museums, gigs and their girl friends, the Felder Felder women are type who are at ease with themselves and the world as well as being young at heart with a touch of wildness in them.

Their Autumn/Winter 2012 inspirations are American photographer Ryan McGinley, Mayan Calendar and grunge-girl-meets-bombshell. During the last fashion week in September 2011, their Spring collection comprised frosty sherbet colours and flippy skater-skirt silhouettes; the result was feminine and pretty with a near-dangerous level of sexiness.

It’s of little surprise, then, that the sisters have established an envious label that manages to be both hard-edged and seductively playful. No wonder they have a plethora of celebs like Gwyneth Paltrow, Florence Welch and Allison Mosshart vouching for them. Each season the sisters are known to up their game, which is perhaps the reason why they have won the coveted British Fashion Council’s New Generation (NEWGEN) award, an internationally recognised talent identification scheme, for three consecutive years.

With such oeuvre riding on their slender shoulders, we are waiting with bated breath for the surprises they have in store this time. Click here and fall in love.
