Hello, spring. Hello daffodils and snowdrops, butterflies and ladybirds. Welcome back warm sunshine, soft blue skies and an abundance of chocolate Easter eggs.

The days are finally growing longer and there’s a fresh, new buzz in the air. Kicking off the season in style, M·A·C’s all-new and exclusive make-up range has arrived just in time to help us embrace the beauty of spring.

Created in collaboration with a sparky artist known worldwide as Vera, the limited edition range boasts warm and wonderful eye-shadows, soft, sparkly liners, pretty-in-pink lip- and cheek-colour and perfect pastel nail lacquers. Inspired by Vera’s eye-catching prints featuring beaming butterflies and fabulous florals, M·A·C’s newest make-up collection is blooming lovely. Let’s take a closer look at these beautiful, set-for-spring products.

The Range:

1. Crushed Metallic Pigments

With names like Strawberry Patch and Butterfly Party, these stunningly sparkly shadows bring out the natural hues in the eyes and complement spring perfectly. Colours come in a rainbow selection of shades, from champagne and rose light to rain drop and teal, and will have you glowing from the inside out in no time.

2. PearlGlide Intense Eye Liner

To add diamond intensity, these super soft liners are packed with gold and silver pearls to enhance the magic hues of the eye-shadows. Ranging from shades of iridescent purple and statement black to intense teal and periwinkle grey, each one of these seven liners glides onto the lid like silk and adds a hint of drama that really make the eyes pop.

3.  PlushGlass

These simply delicious shades of lip-gloss seal the deal on a perfect, bright pout. We love Confetti Bright orange coral with soft pearl, and Pretty Plush Extra Soft Pink with white pearl, but we wouldn’t mind owning the entire collection thank you very much!

4. Pearl Matte Face Powder

A glowing, spring-ready complexion is easy-breezy with these absolutely adorable multi-tone face powders. For a bright, fresh look go for the soft, clean tones of fuschia and pale pink in Sunday Afternoon, or for something a little richer, Flower Fantasy warms the complexion with its coral, salmon and gold pearl undertones. Simply dust on the apples of your cheeks for a look that will make your skin blossom.

5. Nail Lacquer

These two lilac and coral based nail lacquers complete the spring makeup look to pastel perfection and they leave your talons looking bright and beautifully manicured. We love Play Day Pale milky coral.

M·A·C’s Vera Spring Collection 2012 hits the shops this month so put a spring in your step and grab yourself some of these irresistible makeup masterpieces.
