With Internet shopping, you immediately lose the thrill of the high-street hunt, the ability to wander freely from store to store, the opportunity to window-shop and the buzz of the retail atmosphere itself. However, would you be more likely to do your shopping online if the experience of the high street could be re-created?

Inspired by the way we shop in real life, The Secret Arcade is a new concept in online shopping presenting a stunning range of independent British e-tailers set out on the website, click here to see what we mean, it is within a virtual high street. Stroll (or should I say scroll?) through the arcade passages hosting fashion, accessories, art and jewellery too.

The shop windows boast an array of products to entice you to enter the store and begin browsing through some of the boutiques on offer from Eastern Mystic jewellery, Juno Says Hello vintage dresses and art by Claire Brewster to name but a few.

Claire Brewster’s artwork is about retrieving the discarded, celebrating the unwanted and giving life to the obsolete. Using old and out-of-date maps, she creates intricate, delicate and detailed cut-outs of nature. A focus on bird features heavily in her current collection makes for unique and special pieces to be owned by any art collector.

If you take a journey down the next passage within The Secret Arcade, you will come across Juno Says Hello, an online vintage boutique that is dedicated to the finest selection of luxury vintage dresses. The dresses offer a touch of real elegance, glamour and style that is truly unique and sought after by celebrity clients.

Taking a right turn after visiting Juno Says Hello, Eastern Mystic can be discovered creating statement jewellery strongly influenced by the designer’s Indian heritage. Gunmetal, sterling and silver chains with a myriad of gemstones and crystals are combined into bold yet classic statements. Each piece is handcrafted and translated within a world of myths, folklore and Mughal opulence.

If you’re looking for a new online experience that mirrors real life shopping journey, then have yourself a wander over to The Secret Arcade , travel down the seven unique passages and see what you can find. It’s the new way to Internet shop and is the perfect idea for a customer who wants to experience the high street without having to actually visit it in person.
