Out of East London’s vibrant creative landscape of music, fashion, blogging and film, the new independent womenswear label 18andEast has been born.  Aimed at girls who strive for individual style and a desire to live life to the full, 18andEast’s garments transpose delicate prints onto wholly feminine shapes.

Their Spring/Summer 2012 collection is full of sexy, floaty dresses, playsuits and blouses in gorgeous, muted tones of dusky pink, coral, dusty blue and green – perfect for a summer’s evening. The garments are designed with charming details that make them stand out, such as the pink drop-back dress with a delicate daisy design, which runs sexily along the back.

18andEast is aimed at girls who love rummaging through vintage and charity shops to find unusual pieces that really stand out. The stylish brand themselves believe that “individuality is always at the forefront” of dressing and style. The chintzy vintage-style prints are key to the 18andEast look, making the garments stand out. The signature prints, featuring delicate bird repetitions and bold floral patterns, are all designed in-house, which adds to the uniqueness of the garments. The prints are really gorgeous, especially the high-waisted scallop shorts that come in a vintage-looking blue willow print.

With the intent of making fashion for real people, 18andEast‘s garments have the ability to charm everyone – with their deliciously floral dresses and simple, fashion-forward playsuits, they’re perfect for a warm evening wandering around the East end of London or in a field at a festival.

For more information on 18andEast have a look at their website here and check out their Spring/Summer 2012 collection for yourself.
