We’re crazy about Coco Barclay

We’re crazy about Coco Barclay

Coco Barclay is a creative leather accessories company, created by none other than Coco Barclay herself.  She got her training while working in a hat factory, where she was employed to convert “rejects” into one-off designs. Although she loved millinery, her real passion lay with handbags and jewellery. Inspired, she decided to start her own line and thus Coco Barclay was born.

This fun and practical line of leather accessories is made with the highest quality and ethically sourced materials, all of which are made right here in the UK. Coco describes the overall look of her products as “original and feminine”.   You can choose from a great collection of clutches, handbags, card holders and necklaces as well as other bits and pieces.  These handmade items come in a wide array of colours, including fun pops of raspberry reds, sky blues and apple greens.  What we love most about the handbags, besides the amazing craftsmanship and style, are the vintage American cotton linings. Each handbag contains a surprising vintage floral liner, creating a personal touch to each bag.

The most popular handbag is the Gathered Bag which is made with soft Italian waxed leather, featuring an inner zip pocket.  The shape of the bag depends on what you put in it.  Another popular item is the handmade Pods and Pom Poms Necklace. The process of making this necklace is so tricky that, apparently, nobody  would believe Coco if she told you how it was made. The style is colourful, quirky and certainly a statement piece.

Prices for Coco Barclay items start from £14.  For more information check out the website here.
