Five beauty products for a fresh summer face

During the summer, you should go a little lighter on the make-up and embrace fresh-faced beauty – a little definitely goes a long way and if you’re going on holiday this summer, there’s even more reason to pack light!

Here are five simple products that will give your face the radiance and protection it needs to look amazing all summer!

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser SPF 20 – £33 from House of Fraser

Laura Mercier Tinted MoisturiserLaura Mercier’s tinted moisturiser was named one of InStyle magazine’s Best Beauty Buys of 2012 and it’s no wonder. The sheer, lightweight formula moisturises the skin and adds a smooth, healthy glow to your complexion, plus has added SPF protection to protect your skin from harmful rays. It’s suitably for all skin types and if you like, mix it with your favourite foundation for a little extra coverage.

Nivea Lip Care Sun Protect SPF 30 – £3.29 from Boots

Nive Lip Care Sun ProtectMost people forget that sun protection is also essential for your lips. This Nivea lip balm protects immediately against harsh UV rays. As well as long-lasting protection, the formula is enriched with Vitamin E to leave your lips smooth and moisturised.

Benefit Sun Beam – £18.50

Benefit SunbeamIf you’re a fan of Benefit’s classic High Beam and Moon Beam highlighters, then you’ll absolutely love Sun Beam, the beauty brand’s recently launched golden bronze complexion highlighter. Benefit call it “liquid sunshine in a bottle” and I’m inclined to agree! Simply dab on top of cheekbones any other areas that light naturally falls on for stunning natural, sun-kissed radiance.

Becca Beach Tint – £20

Becca Beach TintFrom a little known brand, this beach tint has caused quite a stir in the beauty world. The beautifully blendable cream stain can be used on lips and cheeks for a perfect, streak-free finish. Quite amazingly, it is both kiss-proof and water-resistant – could it be any more perfect for summer? Turns out, yes it can – each shade is deliciously scented to correspond to its name. My favourites: bright pink Watermelon and warm orange red Strawberry.

Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter – £5.99 from Superdrug

Revlon ColorBurst Lip ButterIf you haven’t come across Revlon’s new lip butters yet, you must have been in beauty hibernation somewhere. Let me fill you in. Revlon have introduced a revolutionary new lip product that combines a buttery balm formula with shiny colour to give lips super hydration and amazing colour, all in one. Available in 20 delicious shades, the lip butters are infused with mango, shea and coconut butter and boost lip moisture and give lips sheer to medium colour with a buttery shine.
