MAC unveils Marilyn Monroe collection

MAC have unveiled their holiday limited edition collection inspired by iconic screen siren Marilyn Monroe for cosmetic fiends to get fired up over.

The Marilyn collection oozes the starlet’s signature sex appeal, with red lipsticks, blushers, false lashes, nail lacquers and shimmering eye shadows – with names like Preferred Blonde, Silver Screen and Showgirl. 

MAC’s Senior VP, James Gager said: “Marilyn’s an icon, plain and simple. Her look not only defined a generation, but also is relevant today.”

Those lusting after Marilyn’s perfect red lips will be delighted with the selection available – in shades including Scarlet Ibis, Love Goddess and Deeply Adored.

The packaging features various black images of Marilyn with her signature in scarlet.

For the face, there’s a peach highlighter called Forever Marilyn and two powder blushes in Legendary, a pale coral in a satin finish and The Perfect Cheek: a matte pink beige.

Nail colours are available in shades named Vintage Vamp, Flaming Rose and Kid Orange.

The collection also includes a brow finisher, the False Lashes Extreme Black Mascara, dramatic false lashes and the Penultimate Eye Liner.

She is considered by many as the ultimate beauty icon and now channeling Marilyn has never been easier!

The collection is available in MAC stores from October.
