Cambridge Satchel Company to launch men’s collection

The Cambridge Satchel Company is a well renowned British company that sells leather goods – its most iconic being the traditional leather satchel. The company was formed back in 2008, when Julie Deane set it up in order to help pay for her children’s school fees. Image1

Now, five years on, the brand has had major success from the runway to the pages of some of the top fashion magazines.

Being such a hit with women and making traditional styles set the bar quite high, with this came the demand to make a men’s collection from retailers. Image2

Due to launch in AW13, the brand will be showcased at Pitti Imagine Uomo in Florence this month. The collection will feature 75 designs, in varying styles and sizes that will include the Classic, the Batchel and also the Backpack. This new collection will also see the introduction of some new colours that are to include neutral, pale greys, dark bottle green and cobalt blue. Some of the designs will include an embossed croc print, a patent croc print and also a tartan pocket. This will definitely add a more masculine edge to the original designs and make the overall range completely marketable to either sex.

The company will also be bringing out a Fluro design along with a 1914 Classic Vintage embossed design that is set to be on many people’s wish lists upon first glance. The full range will be available in both the 14” and 15” sizes.
