Soft and strong: Antonio Ben Chimol’s jewellery collection

Antonio Ben Chimol’s jewellery has an understated utilitarian vibe. Many pieces are beautifully made out of soft leather in a variety of stunning colours with chunky steel fixings. Others are worked entirely out of steel with Antonio managing to fashion something delicate and feminine out of a traditionally hard-wearing ore.

There is something for everyone in Antonio’s collection with bold and solid bracelets for men and unisex pieces which manage to be soft and strong at the same time. Leather is a medium Antonio clearly feels comfortable with and it shows. Lengths of vibrantly coloured leather are tamed into coils which caress the wrist in a protective embrace. Gone are the fiddly little fixings we have come to expect our jewellery to be fastened with, replaced by the reassuring weight of a solid metal clasp.

Mainly consisting of bracelets but also offering necklaces and belts, Antonio’s pieces are hand-made in Barcelona and range from £25 upwards. Incredibly, the collection has been made available in 30 different colours and sizes.
