Eyelash Jewellery: bling in unconventional places

Eyelash Jewellery: bling in unconventional places

For an added, dramatic effect, false eyelash application swiftly became all the rage. No more mountains of mascara to achieve your desired look, and you could play with the shape, flare and colour of your eyelashes. That has opened the door for new and fresh ideas on how to bring something extra to your face. One of these ways is with Eyelash Jewellery! image

While our initial thought was the safety of this product, Etsy shop owner Natalie Russo stresses that if you can wear false eyelashes, then you can participate in this bold and fun trend! image2

Add a daring element to your everyday look to brighten your day, or liven up your dreary office with some holiday spirit. These are sure to be a conversation starter, and have you as the centre of attention in any social setting. image4

Natalie gives some insight on her product and how to use it here: “Eyelash jewellery is handmade with care, using high quality glass beads and ultra fine beading wire. I created this product in 2010 after searching for a sturdier alternative to the mass-produced false eyelashes on the market.” image3

She then went on to say: “Eyelash jewellery is lightweight, water proof, and flexible. Simply bend the beaded band into the shape of your eyelid, apply a thin layer of adhesive (such as Duo eyelash glue, sold in most drug stores) allow the adhesive to ‘set’ and become tacky, then press the jewelry onto your eyelid directly above your eyelashes.”

This product is an interesting and quirky addition to the growing number of adornments that fashion keeps rolling out.
