Sade English “Daphne” collection

Sade English “Daphne” collection

Yesterday we attended the catwalk show of the indescribably talented Sade English. Recent London College of Fashion graduate, Sade has already been featured in 1883magazine, Facades, c-heads and Vogue Italia.

The 21-year-old’s ideology is “designing garments that are not built to suit society” and her first collection entitled Daphne definitely fulfills that. With her pieces following this “anti-clone” vision, her clothes do not confirm to any specific categories making them look as striking on men as they do on women.

Her show blew everyone away like they knew it would. Deep, slow tempo music set the tone for the black intense make-up, lanky models and her garments, which was a match made in a dark heaven. The texture of each piece illustrated the detail put into this collection.  Thick chunky boots with buckles and rouched, oversized sleeves took centre of attention with shiny leather and draped material following the lead.

This is one woman to watch out for. She has brought a fresh flavour and a unique outlook on fashion. She is set to take the fashion world by storm. So watch out!
