Having begun back in 1983 with just twelve watches, Swatch is now the biggest selling watch company in the world. Who knew that this small Swiss brand would become revolutionary and change the face of timepieces forever?

Renowned for their use of plastic materials and art influences, Swatch is truly a brand above the rest. Having always had a wide variety of designs and prices, they have continued to be forward thinking and cater to the masses.

Creating millions of watches, all pieces consist of interesting visual designs. Current collections include Swatch touch and a night glows collection, forever continuing their quest for original and forward thinking timepieces.

Their casual appearance and ability to blend with various outfits and occasions, is one of the reason we love the brand so much. Also the fact that they brought back analogue watches in such a big way.

A new Gent watch has been released, to mark the three-decade popularity. It features a completely transparent plastic case, a strap and a skeleton dial that shows the inner workings. Printed around the clock face are the intervening years between 1983 and 2013, and a golden driving wheel hosts the word ‘Celebrate’ in black ink. Despite the huge success of the brand, the price of this newly created watch won’t burn holes in your pocket and retails at a very reasonable £47.50.

So, after 30 years of collaborations, innovation, dedication and fun, we are happy to celebrate Swatch’s anniversary with them.  For more information on the anniversary, or to browse their many collections, head over to the Swatch website here.
