Brave and bold bodies

Leotards and bodies have been on trend for a long time, but recently we’ve seen them go from being a simple solution to high-waisted gear, to real couture chic. Just check out this piece from our beloved British high street store, Topshop. The “black harness jersey body” brings an air of elegance to a slightly naughty theme and would look incredibly suave beneath a simple black maxi skirt, or incredibly sexy underneath a pair of high-waisted denim shorts. The fabulous thing is the versatility of bodies, as they can adapt for different occasions.

From the formal to the fierce! We came across this body from BamBam at ASOS and it was love at first sight. Perfect for adding some edge to a simple outfit, the image is crisp and the colours are vibrant without being lurid. Bodies are named as such for a reason. They hug every inch of you whilst often managing to cinch you in a bit if needs be.  The BamBam bodysuit in Panther Print is ideal for clubbing or casual get-togethers… for the latter, simply add some black denim high-waisted shorts, some black biker boots, black tights and some form of boyfriend cardigan.

It has been impossible to ignore the explosion in popularity for Black Milk Clothing, and we couldn’t resist mentioning their wild swimsuit collection. Even though they are designed for the pool, these whacky prints could and definitely should be worn as much as possible! Honestly, who could limit themselves to wearing these bad-boys solely whilst swimming? The bold bodies are selling out fast from their Aussie website, as are their wide range of printed bodycon dresses and leggings! We encourage you to check out their wicked Lord of the Rings collection…

So there you have it, yet more ways to jazz up a simple outfit at high street prices.
