Italian fashion house Gucci has announced the launch of its UK Music Fund, which is an initiative set up to help young, aspiring musicians to have their voices heard and talent recognised. It’s a thoughtful and inspiring cause, with Brit award winner Emeli Sandé behind the new launch, saying “‘it’s crucial that young people today have the chance to express themselves through music and are given opportunities to do so. Projects like this make music available to everyone”.

The new project is marked by the launch of a new Gucci Interlocking timepiece in stainless steel with ‘Gucci Music Fund’ engraved on the back, which is following the work Gucci did last year in China, ‘Gucci Timepieces and Jewellery Music Fund’ for upcoming Asian artists.

The UK fund will give young hopefuls incredible opportunities to really emerge in the music world, with the fund teaming up with The World Heart Beat Music Academy in London. This is a place that young, aspiring musicians can go if they haven’t had access to musical training, so the UK Music Fund is an exciting and motivating prospect for them, as ten of the school’s students will be given the chance to go to Grammy camp in Los Angeles, which will provide them with crucial knowledge and inspiration for their dream career.

Music and fashion always go hand in hand, so having Gucci, such a huge and respected label supporting the project, and with so much young musical talent here in the UK, we’re looking forward to seeing who emerges from this wonderful cause.
