Pond’s rebrands as Pond’s Institute but remains loyal to its roots

At 150 years old, Pond’s has recently rebranded itself as Pond’s Institute, repackaging all of its products and reminding us that the products have been a secret weapon for women for many years. The Upcoming went along to The Dorchester to check out the all new Pond’s Institute.

The shape of the jars is perhaps one of the most noticeable changes Pond’s Institute has made. The awkward vase-shaped jars have been replaced with more practical flatter and rounder ones. The colouring of the jars is now a uniform pink and white, with a small coloured symbol on the label denoting each product.

The contouring eye cream has now be transferred to a tube, making the product much easier to apply than from the small jar it was in previously. The tube has a pointed nozzle, allowing greater control over application and the amount of product being applied.

Although the outer shell of the products has been dramatically altered, the creams on the inside remain the same. The rebranding to Pond’s Institute is to make people aware that the company is still researching and developing its products to bring its customers the best quality it can.

Make-up artist and Pond’s Institute ambassador, Arabella Preston, was on hand at the event to demonstrate how she uses the products on her models and clients. She sang the praises of the Cold Cream and showed how it can be used to remove make-up from the face, acting as a cleanser and moisturiser in one. The cream was also used to add a hint of sheen to highlight the cheekbones.

The products that will be available from mid-May are:

Pond’s Institute Cold Cream Cleanser (for all skin types)

Pond’s Institute Hydro-Nourishing Cream (for normal to dry skin)

Pond’s Institute Nourishing Anti-Wrinkle SPF 15 (for dry skin)

Pond’s Institute Triple Action Moisturiser (for mature skin)

Pond’s Institute Eye Contour (for all skin types)
