BAPE teams up with Stussy to launch new streetwear set

Japanese fashion label BAPE, most famous for designing women’s, men’s and children’s lifestyle and streetwear, has paired up with Stussy, a California lifestyle brand, to create Ill Collaboration, which has already hit the streets of London.

The Stussy brand started up in the 1980s by Shawn Stussy and was greatly inspired by the surfwear trend that originated in Orange County. The brand soon became popular on the hip-hop scene and became modern streetwear. Stussy states that he refuses to give his clothes a label on purpose, this way they are suitable for everybody whatever their mood and whatever the occasion.

BAPE, also known as A Bathing Ape, is a similar streetwear clothing company to Stussy and was started up by DJ Nigo in the early 1990s. BAPE steadily became a much-wanted label and has become a regular among celebrities.

Together these brands have created a sick selection of T-shirts which are available at the price of £70. You can also purchase the exclusive BAPE x Stussy x G-Shock Frogman watch which is priced at £565.

The collection isn’t the first collaboration for either companies but it has the potential to be the best. If you want a piece of the action, head over to central London and check out the BAPE store at 4 Upper James Street, W1F 9DJ to buy yourself a tee that everybody can be jealous of.
