Rihanna and MAC launch Ruby Woo lipstick Remix RiRiWoo

Rihanna is no stranger to remixing music, but she is now remixing cosmetics with the new MAC RiRi Woo lipstick shade. It’s an updated version of the cult-classic Ruby Woo shade, THE perfect matte red shade. Rihanna said: “Working with MAC, it’s difficult to get a red lipstick that beats Ruby Woo, because it works on every skin tone. I had so many different samples to choose from and so many different colors underneath — blue, yellow, orange and pink bases. And I got to pick one that worked, and I tried it on all my friends to make sure it worked on all of our skin tones.”

Selling for £14, the new RiRi Woo is available exclusively online, but rumors have it that it has completely sold out worldwide. Lucky ticket holders to the New York stop on her Diamonds World Tour at the Barclays Center had a chance to visit the two day MAC pop-up store selling the RiRi Woo lipsticks.

Rihanna’s collaboration with MAC, to be known as RiRi HeartsMAC only starts with the RiRi Woo lipstick and will continue to develop four future collections throughout 2013. MAC is calling Rihanna, a “creative partner” rather than a collaborator. Her name will appear on the packaging, and her signature will be embossed on the RiRi Woo lipstick case and on the bullets of the summer lipsticks, as well as several of the fall and holiday pieces. We can’t wait to see what’s coming out next.
