Handmade leather arm candy from Vaska
Deriving from the Swedish word for ‘bag,’ Vaska has been producing statement leather handbags since 2012. Designer Ann-Sofi Storbacka’s love for making bags started with a creation for her final project in accessory design, whilst in Barcelona. We all love a good leather bag and these 100% handmade beauties have gone straight onto our wish list.
Storbacka creates these wearable and origami inspired pieces using only the finest leather and natural fabrics. With a fondness for the occurring shapes that emerge from geometry, she has found her own niche in the handbag market. These bags are not only timeless and classic, but they are also functional and super aesthetically pleasing.
This clutch in tan is cut from a single piece of leather. The fact that it isn’t stitched together is what gives it an origami effect. We love how elegant and unique it is and the leather used will age beautifully over time.
