It’s time for your feet to get excited as the infamous British designer Zandra Rhodes has designed a show-stopping shoe collection.zandraevent5

Famed for her eclectic prints and vivid colours, Zandra’s imagination and experience easily lends herself to a shoe label. Having already launched a handbag collection, the shoes are designed to be the perfect fit to coincide with her accessories, meaning there will no longer be the dilemma of “what shoes go with this bag?”zandraevent

Located a stone’s throw away from London Bridge, members of the press were invited to the private preview of Zandra’s upcoming SS14 collection, which saw a host of exclusive guests congregate at the Fashion & Textile Museum on Bermondsey Street.1069884_10151586491913218_1916899020_n

Walking through the new Zandra Rhodes: Unseen exhibit – which is running until 31st August – guests were treated to a trip of Zandra’s penthouse, where guests got to mingle with the designer herself. Adam Nathan Caterers served Martini prawn canapés and copious glasses of champagne, while press and friends marvelled over pearl-encrusted tables, Buddha mosaics and views of The Shard.z

Comprising of 15 styles including wedges, heels, espadrilles and trainers, the range incorporates some of Zandra’s most prominent bold prints and patterns, such as rose rockabilly style pointed shoes and pearlescent flats.z60

A series of dainty flats with lipstick-patterned lining are available for make-up lovers, while Prada-esque bold wedges are the perfect fit for walks along the promenade or day trips in Venice.z51

When asked for her favourite piece, Zandra pointed to her trainer collection. “When you get to my age, you just want to be comfortable,” she explained. However, with silky laces adorned over signature prints on the trainers, comfort doesn’t come at the cost of style.

The shoes will be officially launched at Pure London’s fashion event at London Olympia on  4th until 6th August, although the collection itself will be available to purchase in time for the spring/summer collections – allowing you enough time to save up for all the shoes you have undoubtedly already mentally bought.
