The Sweetlime A/W 2013 Collection

Founded by Elspeth J Walker, jewellery brand Sweetlime is a unique label inspired by the designer’s travels around Europe, Africa, India and South East Asia. When the designer first arrived in India 20 years ago, she was introduced to the local culture and was offered a refreshing drink made of iced soda water and fresh sweet limes.

“It was totally refreshing after a long flight and left a lasting impression,” Elspeth says, and it instantly turned into the inspiration for naming her brand “Sweetlime”.  The Sweetlime brand “Brings together a lifelong passion for wanderlust and adornment”, explains the designer.

After her travels, Elspeth decided to settle down in London and open her own jewellery studio in Highgate, North London. She started designing original pieces with items gathered during her travels.

“Each unique design, lovingly made by hand, tells its own story. We seek and find materials and designs that are out-of-the-ordinary and combine flair and beauty to create one-off pieces,” the designer explains.

The A/W 2013 Sweetlime jewellery collection named Nomad was inspired by a North African tribe, the Tuareg people. It features pieces made of special metals, bone, glass and fibre to recreate the culture of the Tuareg society.

The Nomad collection includes necklaces and earrings made with unique coins, beads and tassels. As an introductory offer, the brand offers 10% off this brand new collection!
