Mariella Pilato’s jewellery creations have always been far from ordinary and her newest collection, A Constructed State of Mind, is definitely just as captivating as her previous ones.

Born and raised in Sorrento, Mariella’s imagination was fuelled at a young age by the myths and legends that surrounded her. As a result, her work is heavily influenced by mythical creatures and ancient arts, and tells the story of heritage whilst combining tradition and modernity.

Although Mariella no longer lives in Sorrento, she chose the island of Bali as her new home and embraced the new myths and legends that it had to offer. Still based in Bali, Mariella now painstakingly creates jewellery out of semi-precious materials and precious stones by hand and sends it out all around the world.

The A Constructed State of Mind collection is the result of the combination of Mariella’s interest in theatre and architecture with her passion for making jewellery, and the outcome is simply outstanding.

The collection is a beautiful mixture of sterling silver, rock crystals and agate druzy covered with gun metal, and each piece is created by hand soldering the minute elements together.

Featuring strong, solid lines, unusual materials and bold shapes, Mariella’s new collection is the perfect way to make any occasion special and inject a bit of glamour into an otherwise ordinary and everyday look.
