Carl Froch vs George Groves: The makings of a classic

Carl Froch vs George Groves does have the makings of a classic. If they can draw inspiration from any of the other fights witnessed this year then it could be one of the best boxing matches in British history.

Both will be looking to replicate the fearlessness of Solange Knowles. The singer was relentless in her elevator attack on brother-in-law, Jay Z, in New York recently.

Kanye West’s popular tactic of pushing paparazzi may also be borrowed by the two boxers, while both will be hoping to have confidence levels as high as rapper T.I. who recently took on Floyd Mayweather in a heated melee.

They may also look to Nigel Farage, who proved he had no glass chin when egged recently, or to Jordanian and Indian TV which have both seen politician turn violent. And in regards to looking towards actually ending the fight they will look to the recent brawl that broke out in the Ukrainian Parliament – mad cannot describe the carnage there.

Both will be trying to avoid illegal headbutts so they should stay clear of the recent antics of actor Shia LaBeouf and Newcastle manager Alan Pardew.

And if the boxing match does turn into a fight they will be trying to channel the ferociousness of the Real Housewives of Atlanta and the audacity of a British bride who fought her bridesmaid whilst flying at 35,000 feet.

There have been plenty of fights in 2014 that Froch and Groves could draw from, whether they need to will be answered this Saturday.
