The best of 2014 red carpet glamour: Cannes Film Festival

This year saw the 67th annual Cannes Film Festival take place from 14th– 25th May 2014. As expected, the renowned event saw the A-list arrive in abundance, dressed in spectacular ensembles with jewels more lavish than ever.

Nicole Kidman wore a breathtaking Armani Privé dress for the screening of Grace of Monaco. The strapless blue gown featured exquisite silver embellishments, detailed embroidery and several skirt layers (including a lace overlay). She added more sparkle with a diamond bracelet and earrings, from Harry Winston.

Lara Stone looked pretty in pink for The Search premiere, wearing a Calvin Klein Collection number. The minimal, bespoke fuchsia cross-strap gown, clenched in at the waist, looked striking against the hue of the carpet, and clashed brilliantly with her orange nails and white sandals.

Kristen Stewart chose a Chanel Couture look, from the spring/summer 2014 collection, for the premiere of Clouds of Sils Maria. The relaxed fit, embellished jumpsuit was a perfect match for her avant-garde style. After walking the red carpet, in true Stewart style, she swapped her nude courts for a pair of trainers, designed especially for her outfit.

Eva Green wore a beautifully haunting Elie Saab Haute Couture autumn/winter 2013 gown to the first showing of The Salvation. The flowing train, embellished bodice and cape sleeves had everything you would expect from an Eva Green look – mystery, intrigue and an alluring sensibility.

Cara Delevingne opted for a Chanel Couture glitzy bronze and silver strapless mini, from last season’s collection, for The Search. The model served up plenty of attitude, completing the glamorous grunge look with a deep red lip, monochrome clutch and black sandals.

Blake Lively looked stunning in Gucci Première when the Captives was shown. The black and white silk crepe gown, featuring a full skirt and dramatic train, complemented husband Ryan Reynolds’ monochrome Gucci tuxedo flawlessly. Lively wore an incredible 180 carats in Lorraine Schwartz diamonds.
