Tadashi Shoji catwalk show report for NYFW S/S 2015
Tadashi’s Venetian-inspired collection for SS15 is an absolutely jaw-dropping experience. The collection features Shoji’s signature material lace, and showcases floor-length pleated gowns, which are impeccable in pastels, gold, and prints; some in black and white, with chain mesh inserts, shimmering tulle, multi-colored jeweled embellishments and fun sheer panelling.
The collection is modern yet timeless, the dresses romantic. They remind one of falling completely in love. This collection is for a variety of demographics: Shoji effortlessly blurs the lines of age/race/class groups and presents a product that is grace, elegance, edge, and sophistication personified.
There’s a regal, feminine feel to the pieces: flattering garments in warm palettes of rose, ivory, periwinkle and jade subtly caught the light as the models flowed down the runway.
