Last night at London’s Guildhall, the Roca brothers of El Celler de Can Roca reclaimed first place, held by Noma for the past 12 months. It was a night of celebration as the biggest international players in the food industry gathered to hear the 2015 list of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants.

Although windy and drizzly, the weather didn’t ruin the moment of joy in the courtyard before the event, with chefs happily catching up with friends and giving interviews to the swarms of journalists. There was a multicultural atmosphere: Italian, South American and Asian chefs called out to one another whilst greeting other friends in Spanish, French or Japanese and giving interviews in English. However, it was also a sad night, as this edition would be the last to be held in London – at least for the foreseeable future. Next year, the World’s 50 Best will move to New York City and it will stay there for a minimum of two years.

Our editor Filippo L’Astorina, interviewer Samanta Stewart and Jess Spiro were on site to have a chat with the world’s best chefs – pay another visit soon because there are more videos to come.
