Featuring some of social media’s most influential stars, the September 2015 issue of Interview is all about the selfie, with various celebrities starring across eight cover variations.

The American magazine was founded by artist Andy Warhol back in the sixties and has since become one of the most prestigious and adored pop culture magazines with raw and often unedited interviews.

Since Warhol was always on-trend and all aboard the train of pop culture, had he been alive today there is no doubt he would have loved the way social media has taken over and would have been one of those celebrities with countless followers. With this in mind, the editors over at Interview have embraced the “age of the selfie” by devoting an entire issue to the glorious self-portrait.

The eight stars that were given the chance to take their own photo for their Interview front cover include Instagram queen and reality star Kim Kardashian-West; ex-Spice Girl, British fashion designer and mum of four Victoria Beckham; pop’s favourite wild child Miley Cyrus; ex-One Direction member and resident bad boy Zayn Malik; ultimate pop goddess Madonna; celebrity photographer and Interview favourite Mert Alas; Disney star-turned-songstress Selena Gomez and the always glamorous Latino goddess Jennifer Lopez.

All of the celebrities went down different routes when taking their selfies, both Kim and Miley’s were snaps from a Facetime session and Victoria managed to feature her husband and two of her children in the background. The personalities were told to create an image that reflects how they see themselves so it’s an interesting insight into the world of some of our favourite celebrities.

Whichever copy you choose, when you open up the magazine you will be offered even more selfies from the likes of Stella McCartney to Kendall Jenner.
