John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, the eagerly-awaited third instalment of Chad Stahelski’s acclaimed action franchise starring a brooding and increasingly bloody Keanu Reeves, brings the beloved hitman back with even more vengeful violence than ever. Now stripped of the protection of the Assassin’s Guild after gunning down a member of the High Table, our titular hero finds himself with a $14 million bounty on his head. Fans will be pleased to know that past allies Winston (Ian McShane) and the Bowery King (Laurence Fishburne) make a welcome comeback, as well as newcomer Sofia (Halle Berry), as Wick embarks on a bloody mission through New York to escape his fate as the excommunicado target of the world’s most ruthless killers.

We caught up with Reeves at the film’s premiere, where he spoke to us about how much he enjoys making the films, the difficulty of picking a favourite scene and the potential for a fourth movie.

Stahelski discussed the way in which his latest work embraces a whole catalogue of genres and aesthetic influences such as samurai films and 70s action movies.
