Survey reveals why millenials are feeling the pressure

Survey reveals why millenials are feeling the pressure

Everyone comes under pressure at some point in their lives, but it often feels like the millennial generation are feeling the heat more than any other age-group. Well, according to a recent survey by Legal & General, this is true. After quizzing adults over 25, the insurance company found that it was this demographic that were most susceptible to societal pressures – such as the idea that you should be married by 31, as well as having kids, landing the perfect job and owning your own house.

The study also shows who we are comparing ourselves to, finding that friends come out on top (54%), followed closely by family (50%), then work colleagues (37%), partners (36%) and finally, celebs and influencers (22%). In short, we like to be on a par with our peers. The survey found that fitness posts on social media have a big impact and that people are willing to miss out on their social lives in order to reach certain milestones in their lives.
