Six beauty launches you need to try this autumn

As we wave goodbye to the last hazy days of summer and welcome autumn, the change of seasons gives us the perfect opportunity to update our beauty collections. As the chillier weather sets in, berry tones, smoky eye looks and statement lip colours make a welcome change from a summer of barely-there make-up.

If there’s one thing that might help give us some light relief in the midst of a global pandemic, it’s some of this season’s new beauty launches. We’ve narrowed it down and chosen some of the best must-have staples on the market.

Charlotte Tilbury Walk of No Shame blush, £30

Perfect for autumn, this illuminating berry rose blusher joins Tilbury’s expanded Walk of No Shame collection. The champagne gold and berry duo gives your cheeks an enviable, flushed look with one sweep over the apples of your cheeks. Wear with the limited-edition Walk of No Shame Cream-to-Sheen Eyeshadow Jewel Pot in a copper bronzed shade to complete the look.

IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better foundation + skincare, £32

After gaining a cult following for their Your Skin But Better CC+ Cream since its launch, the release of their new foundation has been met with considerable hype. The foundation and skincare hybrid is designed as a lightweight version of the CC cream, giving your skin a flawless finish whilst improving your complexion over time.

Fancy pigment technology blurs imperfections and pores, while super skin ingredients, such as hyaluronic acid, vitamins E and B5 and soothing aloe vera extract, help to plump and smooth your skin in the long term. This medium coverage foundation leaves your skin looking fresh and glowing, and comes in a choice of 40 shades (the CC cream only comes in 12) so there really is something for everyone.

Fenty Beauty Stunna lip paint in Unmatched, £20

As part of Fenty Beauty’s upcoming holiday collection, set for release at the end of the month, two new shades will be added to its Stunna Lip Paint range. These liquid lipsticks offer a soft matte finish and feel comfortable on the lips, whilst offering up to 12-hour coverage. You can wear these confident that once you remove your face covering throughout the day, you won’t need to touch up your make-up again.

Rihanna’s latest additions to her make-up line include a new scarlet red called Unmatched, and a bright pink named Underrated, and are guaranteed to give your beauty look a serious pop of colour.

NARS Climax Extreme mascara, £22

It’s been two years since NARS launched their original Climax Mascara, and this year, they’re back with an extreme version. Delivering dramatic volume in just one coat thanks to the updated bristled brush, this highly pigmented mascara gives your lashes an inky black colour that creates the illusion of wearing eyeliner even when you’re not. Ideal for mornings when you’re in a rush and need a quick beauty fix!

Urban Decay Naked Ultraviolet eyeshadow palette, £43

If you’re looking for something to step up your eyeshadow game now that we’re all wearing face masks more and more these days, then the new Urban Decay Eyeshadow Palette is just the ticket.

On the surface, this 12-eyeshadow palette might not look the most wearable but the range of peachy neutrals to gorgeous intensely pigmented lilacs and violets, means you can create a versatile soft or bold eyeshadow look. The palette offers a good mix of mattes, metallics and shimmery shades. Pair with the Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion for a look that will last all day, long into the night.

Perfect eau de parfum by Marc Jacobs, £69

This new fragrance by Marc Jacobs combines fresh florals, daffodil and rhubarb, with calming hints of almond milk, infused with cedarwood and cashmeran to create a modern and playful addition to your perfume collection.

As the name suggests, the perfume is inspired by Jacobs’ own mantra, “I am perfect as I am,” and this fragrance serves as a comforting reminder to celebrate self-acceptance every day. Like all Marc Jacobs scents, the bottle is gorgeous enough on its own to warrant a spot on your beauty cabinet.
