Let’s be honest. None of us were sad to see the back of 2020. That’s why this might be the happiest we’ve ever been to see the arrival of spring! And, since we’re still spending a fair amount of time at home, brightening up our spaces in time for longer days and warmer weather is a must in our opinion.

Whether your bedroom could use a little TLC or your living space has seen better days, we’re about to share some simple yet seriously effective ways you can add that special something to your home, and cheer up your interiors for the season ahead.

Throw pillows, throw pillows, throw pillows

The quickest way to update your living room? Invest in a few high-quality throw pillow inserts. You’ll find throw pillow covers are usually inexpensive yet they can change your whole colour scheme instantly! Mix a couple of brightly coloured ones with some complementing patterns and textures in celebration of the new season.

Brush up

Nothing refreshes a space like a fresh coat of paint! Simply committing to colour on one wall is an inexpensive yet very effective way to add personality to your space in just a few hours.

Sleep on a cloud

With a tendency to focus on our main living areas, the spaces we sleep in can become neglected. Treat yourself to some high-quality white sheets, pillowcases and a duvet cover. You’ll feel like you’re staying in a five-star hotel every time you slip underneath the covers. Plus, bright white covers feel so fresh and uplifting at this time of year!

Bring the outside in

Whether simple greenery or brightly coloured flowers take your fancy, adding a little outdoor plant life to your indoor space instantly says it’s springtime!

All about artwork

Bare walls are a sure-fire way to make your space feel cold. So, add some personality by hanging a few art pieces! Find prints online, paint something yourself, even pulling pages out of magazines and framing them works! Renting? Use command hooks to display your favourite pieces without damaging the walls.

Introduce mirrors

The quickest and easiest way to distribute light throughout your home is by adding stylish mirrors. They’ll instantly reflect any natural light you have coming in and will make your home feel fresher, brighter and bigger in an instant.

Indulge in scents

Scents are so powerful when it comes to making our homes feel renewed and welcoming. Opt for floral scented candles or wax melts to make your home smell incredible and feel cosy this coming season.
