Hakkasan to launch a special 20th-anniversary set menu globally this July

Global Michelin-starred sensation Hakkasan turns 20 this year, and to mark the occasion will be launching a special celebratory set menu at all of its outposts worldwide, including both London venues in Mayfair and Hanway Place. With the dishes currently overseen by group executive chef Andrew Yeo, the restaurant has become renowned for its modern take on authentic Cantonese cuisine which places a focus on using the finest, meticulously sourced ingredients.

Since the first Hakkasan opened in Hanway Place in 2001, the brand has expanded globally, with ten locations around the world including two restaurants in the British capital, as well as establishments in the United States, the Middle East, India, China and, most recently, Turkey. In accordance with this incredible growth, Hakkasan will celebrate its 20th anniversary with the introduction of a limited-edition set menu which will highlight the most popular dishes since the restaurant’s inception. Available within London at Hakkasan Hanway Place and Hakkasan Mayfair, the menu includes dishes which were introduced on Hanway Place’s menu in 2001 alongside newer favourites, showcasing the journey of the brand.

Costing £110, the set menu will see diners start with Hakkasan’s signature Dim Sum Trio (Scallop Shumai; Langoustine Har Gau; Abalone and Chicken Parcel), before moving onto the Steamed Hand-Dived Scallops with Browned Butter Black Bean Sauce and Oatmeal Dover Sole. This will be followed by stir-fried black pepper beef with merlot, served alongside golden mixed vegetable yam ring with macadamia nut. The stand-out dish will be the supreme stock-braised lobster, encased in egg noodle nests and served with lobster wontons.

To finish, guests will enjoy the delicious sake, vanilla and plum dessert. What’s more, the 20th anniversary will also welcome the return of the classic Hakkatini cocktail, served in a vintage-style tall martini glass with a flower garnish, available in addition to the set menu. For those who can’t resist Hakkasan’s much-loved Pipa Duck, it will be available to order as a supplementary option.

The 20th-anniversary menu will be available at Hanway Place and Mayfair, as well as at Hakkasans across the globe, from Wednesday 21st of July 2021 and throughout the summer, with further celebratory events taking place at Hanway Place to be announced in due course.
