World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2022: The new 51-100 list mapped out

The World’s 50 Best Restaurants academy has announced the 2022 list of restaurants ranked from 51 to 100 ahead of the awards ceremony, which takes place on Monday 18th July in London. The list is determined by a voting body comprised of over 1,080 international restaurant industry experts and is independently adjudicated by services consultancy Deloitte.

The 51-100 list includes 20 new entries from 15 different cities, offering a global geographical spectrum from Mexico to Australia. The highest new entry is Trèsind Studio in Dubai, at 57, whereas French restaurants Table by Bruno Verjus in Paris and AM par Alexandre Mazzia in Marseille have fared pretty well at 77 and 80 respectively.

The dominating continent of this selection is Asia, with 14 restaurants, overshadowing Europe and North America, who are at 13 and 11. The UK features three restaurants – Lyle’s (54), KOL (73) and Brat (81), all based in London – whereas Ikoyi and Core by Clare Smyth have probably been promoted to the higher half of the list, which will be revealed in London on 18th July.
