Bullet Train premiere: Brad Pitt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Joey King and David Leitch on the red carpet

Bullet Train, the latest feature from David Leitch, has all the hallmarks of his oeuvre in its thematic and aesthetic content, as well as being produced by his longtime creative and life partner, Kelly McCormick. The film does, however, see Leitch flexing a new muscle in his pulling together of an impressive ensemble cast led by Brad Pitt, elevating the film with their on-screen chemistry.

The Upcoming had the privilege of talking to Leitch and McCormick, as well as some of the cast, on the glistening white carpet of its Leicester Square premiere.

Pitt spoke to us about leaning into his comedic sensibility, and whether this is something we can expect of his roles going forward.

Appropriately, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry, who play spiritual twins Tangerine and Lemon respectively, spoke to us together about the emotional levity that their performances bring to the film, and their hopes to work with each other going forward.

We caught up with director David Leitch and producer Kelly McCormick. The former spoke about managing a high-profile ensemble cast, while McCormick revealed what originally attracted her to the project.

We also heard from actress Joey King who plays a character called The Prince, a young female mercenary.
