Apple TV+ is set to premiere the new comedy-adventure series titled The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin globally on 1st March 2024. The show, led by comedian and actor Noel Fielding, known for his work on The Mighty Boosh and The Great British Bake Off, will debut its first two episodes followed by weekly instalments through to 29th March 2024.

The series offers a whimsical and irreverent retelling of Dick Turpin’s life, placing him at the heart of a band of merry outlaws and pitting him against the corrupt thief-taker Jonathan Wilde, played by Hugh Bonneville of Downton Abbey fame. With an emphasis on Turpin’s charm, showmanship and enviable hair, the show follows his comedic escapades and brushes with celebrity as he attempts to evade capture.

The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin features a brilliant ensemble cast, including Ellie White, Marc Wootton, Duayne Boachie, Tamsin Greig, Asim Chaudhry, Dolly Wells, Joe Wilkinson, Mark Heap, Geoff McGivern, Michael Fielding, Samuel Leakey and Kiri Flaherty. The series is a creation of Claire Downes, Ian Jarvis and Stuart Lane, along with Noel Fielding and Victoria Grew. Episodes one to three are directed by Ben Palmer, while episodes four to six are helmed by George Kane.

Check out the brand-new trailer for a glimpse of Fielding’s take on the infamous 18th-century British highwayman.
