The Dilly introduces Parisian-themed afternoon tea to celebrate 2024 Olympics

The Dilly in Piccadilly announced the introduction of a Parisian themed afternoon tea, commencing on 13th May. This limited-time offering aims to transport guests to the heart of Paris, celebrating the upcoming 2024 Olympics. Priced at £49 per person, the tea experience will be hosted on the hotel’s Terrace, taking the place of the traditional London-themed afternoon tea until the end of September.

The Dilly’s new menu proposes a selection of sandwiches that pay homage to classic French flavours. Among the offerings are the Jambon-beurre, a French baguette with ham and cheese, a roasted vegetable and soft cheese Crêpe, Tartines featuring smoked salmon, capers, and cream cheese, and the Sandwich Lyonnaise with egg mayonnaise and mustard cress on focaccia. The afternoon tea experience is also set to delight with hand-crafted desserts symbolizing Olympic motifs and iconic French landmarks, such as a yellow macaron called The Medal and a Cassis cremeux shaped like a Greek column named The Olympia Column. Other treats include an Eiffel Tower chocolate and mandarin gel biscuit, and a Mona Lisa inspired pistachio and honey cake. Traditional freshly baked raisin scones will complement the selection.

Guests have the option to pair their delicacies with a choice of exquisite teas from the Tea Makers of London, or with a glass of Pommery Brut Royal Brut NV or Pommery Brut Rosé Royal champagne. The Parisian afternoon tea, which also presents vegetarian, vegan, and children’s menus—the latter priced at £39—will be available daily from 12:30 to 4pm.

In conjunction with the launch, The Dilly has partnered with the Leonardo Boutique Hotel Paris Opera, offering patrons the chance to win a trip to Paris. This includes a two-night stay at the Leonardo Boutique and return travel from London, with the winner to be selected following the conclusion of the Parisian afternoon tea on 30th September. Interested guests can enter the competition by booking the afternoon tea experience through The Dilly’s website.

Established in 1908 and situated in the vibrant heart of Piccadilly, The Dilly, now part of the Fattal Hotels Group, is renowned for its rich heritage and premier location close to London’s key attractions.
