A year after their landmark performances, Blur is set to release a live album, Live at Wembley Stadium, on 26th July 2024, capturing the essence of their largest shows to date. Over a weekend last summer, Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree performed to a combined audience of 150,000, marking their first appearance at the iconic venue. The shows, held on the 8th and 9th of July 2023, were a celebration of the band’s three-decade-long career, featuring a mix of their classic hits and newer material from their latest number one album, The Ballad of Darren.

The album will document the band’s Sunday performance and will be available in various formats, including triple black and teal coloured vinyl, double black vinyl, picture disc vinyl, double CD, double cassette and digital, with the digital version including bonus tracks from their UK warm-up shows in May 2023.

In addition to the live album, a feature-length concert film titled blur: Live at Wembley Stadium is also slated for release, with a UK and Ireland cinema debut set for 6th September 2024. The film promises to offer fans an immersive experience of Blur’s electrifying performance.

The concerts received critical acclaim, with reviews highlighting the band’s vibrant energy and the emotional depth of their performance. The Guardian praised the shows for their “glorious reunion” and “ragged joy,” while NME appreciated the blend of “showstoppers” and unexpected surprises in the setlist.

Both the live album and the concert film are directed by Toby L and produced by Josh Connolly, under the production house Up the Game, and will be released by Altitude. Further details on international cinema releases and ticket information for the UK and Ireland screenings will be available on Blur’s official website.

This release is not just a celebration of Blur’s triumphant return to the live music scene but also a testament to their enduring influence on British music and culture. With a career spanning over 30 years, Blur continues to entrall audiences with their dynamic performances and timeless music.
