The Brush Grand Café in Hoxton unveils new terrace and revamped brunch menu

The Brush Grand Café in Hoxton, London, will launch a new outdoor terrace and a revamped weekend brunch menu this August. Located on Old Street, the venue, which opened earlier in the year, aims to bring a touch of European café culture to the area with its 70-cover terrace.

Executive Chef Ryan Matheson has designed the brunch menu to reflect the culinary traditions of Europe’s iconic cafés. Starting from noon every Saturday and Sunday, guests can enjoy dishes such as Goldstein Smoked Salmon with scrambled eggs on sourdough, Braised Short Ribs with mac & cheese, and a traditional Bratwurst with mustard and a fried egg. The menu also includes favourites from the restaurant’s à la carte offerings like Moules Frites, Gruyère and Bacon Flatbread, and Orecchiette with Basil, Pine Nuts and Garlic Oil. Next to the dish selection, there is also a new series of sandwich specials featuring crispy chicken or bavette steak, all served with Scotch Bonnet mayo, mozzarella, crispy onions and kale.

To complement the food, French aperitif specialists Lillet has curated a special cocktail list which includes a Lillet Spritz, combining Lillet Rosé with peach, prosecco, and soda, and an 1892 serve made with Lillet Blanc, mandarine liqueur, and rhubarb.

The terrace itself, now open daily from breakfast through to dinner, is marked by a striking bronze paintbrush sculpture at its entrance, reflecting the venue’s creative ethos.

The Brush Grand Café, alongside The Brush Lounge & Cocktail Bar, are part of art’otel London Hoxton. The premium lifestyle brand,  owned by PPHE Hotel Group which is best known for its Park Plaza portfolio located in key capital cities, entails hotels each inspired by a Signature Artist. The projects so conceived form a cultural, gastronomic and social hub in highly creative areas in the urban panorama where they are set. Currently, art’otels can be found in Amsterdam, London Battersea Power Station, London Hoxton, Berlin, Cologne, Zagreb and soon in Rome.
