The Alchemist opens new venue in Monument with UK’s first Negroni Bar by Campari

The Alchemist, the cocktail bar brand with theatrical drinks and immersive experiences at its core, is opening a new venue in Monument, London, on Thursday, 6th February 2025. This venue will introduce the UK’s first Negroni Bar by Campari. The new bar will feature a special Campari mini print vending machine, which will dispense bespoke mini prints of hero serves.

The drinks list will present five variations of the Negroni, including Classic, Barrel-Aged, Paradiso, Pressurised Negroni, and Negroni Sour, as well as a non-alcoholic version and the iconic Campari Spritz. In addition to the Campari-focused offerings, The Alchemist Monument will continue to showcase the brand’s cocktail creations, such as the Smokey Old Fashioned and the Tequila Pop-Sicle, as well as a range of low- and no-alcohol options, catering to diverse customer preferences.

The food menu includes dishes like Chicken and Waffles, Bao Buns, and Smoking Boards, designed to complement the cocktail offerings.

The design of the Negroni Bar by Campari draws inspiration from the brand’s rich Italian heritage and its distinctive red colour. The interior features red lighting, red-tinted mirrors, and neon signs that highlight the timeless classic cocktail. The venue itself is spread over two levels, with lofty ceilings and large windows, for an expansive yet intimate atmosphere.

Simon Potts, CEO of The Alchemist, expressed his enthusiasm about the new opening, as he commented “We’re excited to unveil The Alchemist Monument, our latest site in the vibrant City of London. Opening in such a dynamic location allows us to engage with a high volume of both locals and visitors alike, and the introduction of the Negroni Bar by Campari is a significant milestone for us. It’s a bold, vibrant space that celebrates the artistry and heritage of one of the world’s most iconic cocktails, and we’re proud to establish The Alchemist Monument as a home of Campari in the UK.”

The Alchemist Monument joins five other locations in London, including Battersea, Canary Wharf, and St Martin’s Lane. First launched in 2010, the group has expanded across major cities in the UK and internationally, counting a total of 23 venues, including one in Berlin, Germany.
