José Pizarro joins Skye Gyngell at RHS Chelsea’s Spring Garden

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show will enhance its culinary offerings in 2025 by welcoming chef José Pizarro. He will collaborate with Skye Gyngell to create a special menu for the Spring Garden dining experience. The partnership will take place from the 20th to the 24th of May 24th at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London.

José Pizarro, often dubbed The Godfather of Spanish cuisine in the UK, will bring his expertise in blending traditional and contemporary Spanish elements to the table. This marks the first time Mediterranean influences will be prominently featured in the Spring Garden menu, which has previously focused on straight-from-the-earth offerings and sustainability.

Skye Gyngell, who is returning for her third year, will continue to lead the menu development, emphasising simplicity and the elegance of seasonal produce. The 2025 dishes promise to include asparagus, lovage, and heritage citrus, for recipes with robust flavours and vibrant aromas.

The Spring Garden has become over the years an integral part of the horticultural event, seamlessly aligning with the show’s broader focus on sustainability and nature, while providing an opportunity for guests to enjoy the serene setting of the Royal Hospital Chelsea’s grounds.

Skye Gyngell expressed her enthusiasm about the collaboration, saying: “I can’t wait to come back to Spring Garden for another year. I always admired José and having him on board will mean that we can elevate the menu. I’m excited to see what we achieve as a team.”

José Pizarro also commented on his involvement: “I always believed in cooking with purpose and Spring Garden’s sustainability focus struck a chord with me. It’s great to be collaborating with such talented colleagues, where we can push each other to test the boundaries. Guests can expect the unexpected!”

Spring Garden proposes as well a range of entertainment options including live music, nature walks, and wine pairings.
