UK festival season 2025: what are the best options for summer entertainment this year?

One of the most vibrant parts of the UK entertainment scene is the number of awesome festivals to enjoy each summer. These feasts of live music give people the chance to catch some of their favourite artists with their friends in the summer sun. 2025 is looking to be another great year for festivals around the nation and this is set to make the warmer months truly glorious.
But what are the best ones to check out as the temperatures soar?
The Great Escape
If you fancy a UK festival in 2025 that offers an exciting seaside getaway, Brighton’s The Great Escape stands out. Taking place from 14th to 17th May in various venues around the city, it has some amazing artists to catch.
Rizzle Kicks are the biggest act confirmed to appear and will play a Spotlight Show at the Dome Concert Hall on Friday 16th May. Other acts set to wow the crowds include Cliffords, Luvcat, Chloe Slater, JD Cliffe and Chloe Qisha. This festival will also see lots of new and upcoming acts to check out.
Attracting a truly diverse crowd of music lovers from far and wide, The Great Escape is the best way to kick off the UK festival season in 2025 and an ideal way to discover what Brighton has to offer.
Download
If you like your music heavier and your festivals wilder, why not give Download a try? Taking place at Donington Park in Leicestershire from 13th to 15th June, this is a riff-heavy, hard-rocking experience.
There are some truly huge names on the bill at Download this year – from Green Day to Korn and Weezer. There’s also a good range of nu-metal, hardcore, emo, metal and rock bands to sing along to.
This is a festival that is known for attracting a friendly crowd who love to party and know how to cut loose. When you need a break from the action, playing games online via mobile at BetMGM UK or reading a book in your tent are Download-friendly activities.
Glastonbury
When it comes to the top UK festivals in 2025 this summer, Glastonbury has to make our list. This year’s edition looks likely to be another memorable event and one that you won’t want to miss. While tickets might be tough to come by now, it’s worth going if you can find some. If not, you can always watch it on TV at home and enjoy your own stay-at-home Glasto!
As is the case each time this festival runs, it has a massive mix of upcoming bands, best-selling artists and legends. Friday night sees the 1975 taking top billing, while Neil Young headlines the Saturday and Olivia Rodrigo takes to the centre stage on the Sunday. Held at Worthy Farm in Somerset from 25th to 29th June, this really is a UK summer shindig you cannot ignore.
Wireless
London isn’t short of fabulous summer festivals each year, but Wireless has grown to become a standout example. It’s set to take place from 11th to 13th July at Finsbury Park in 2025 and will have some of the top stars in urban music to catch.
This includes dazzling artists such as Ice Spice, Nicki Minaj, Doja Cat and Burna Boy. Perhaps the biggest story for Wireless 2025 though is global megastar Drake headlining for three nights in a row. This is certain to be a real occasion and something that hip-hop fans cannot miss out on. Set to draw a massive crowd again in the capital, this will be a true classic if it matches the awesome Wireless 2014 experience.
Latitude
Latitude is another UK festival that has grown over the years to become a real summertime staple. It
will take place from 24th to 27th July in 2025 at Henham Park in Suffolk. Big-name acts confirmed to play include Fatboy Slim, Snow Patrol, Kaiser Chiefs, Air and Sigrid. This shows what a diverse range of music it has to sample and means that there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
In addition to the awesome music, Latitude is known for having comedy, theatre, literature and poetry to take in. The beautiful Suffolk setting makes it picture perfect and means that you cannot fail to have fun here.

Wherever you live around the UK in 2025, it’s fair to say that there are some great festivals to get involved with this summer. All of the ones listed above blend great music with a fun atmosphere to deliver a truly magical experience.
