Deliveroo and Pho bring floating Vietnamese pop-up to Regent’s Canal

Deliveroo and Vietnamese restaurant chain Pho are collaborating to launch London’s first canal-side Vietnamese food delivery event. The Pho on the Canal pop-up will take place at Angel City Road Lock on Regent’s Canal, Graham Street, on Wednesday, 4th June (from 5 pm to 8 pm) and Thursday, 5th June (from 12 pm to 4 pm). The two-day event aims to bring the atmosphere of Vietnam’s floating markets to the city, offering visitors the chance to collect a complimentary freshly prepared Pho salad delivered by boat.

The initiative will see a section of Regent’s Canal transformed into a temporary floating market, with a Pho-branded canal boat acting as the delivery vessel. The boat, skippered by a Deliveroo rider, will be decorated with teal fishing nets, baskets of produce and the company’s signature delivery bags. Visitors will be guided along the towpath to a designated delivery archway, where they can collect their free salad.

A dedicated riverside dining area will be set up for guests, featuring a wooden pergola, climbing plants, baskets of fresh produce, and seating inspired by Pho’s restaurant interiors. Alternatively, attendees may choose to enjoy their food elsewhere along the canal. The salads on offer include options such as a Shredded Chicken Salad with Vietnamese herbs, peppers and chilli ginger dressing, and a Green Papaya Salad with peanuts and prawn crackers, with vegetarian, prawn, or vegan alternatives available.

Laura Salway, a spokesperson for Deliveroo, stated: “We’re always looking for innovative and exciting ways to help make moments better for our customers with the delicious food they love. Our Pho on the Canal event aims to deliver the Pho flavours of Vietnam right to the heart of London, and best of all, it’s free. We look forward to seeing people at Angel City Road Lock and Regent’s Canal enjoying a taste of summer, delivered in style. For those who can’t make it, you can bring Vietnam to your doorstep when you order Pho exclusively via Deliveroo in cities across the UK.”

Libby Andrews from Pho added: “We are pleased to partner with Deliveroo to bring a taste of our Vietnamese summer salads to Angel City Road Lock and Regent’s Canal with the launch of our alternative riverside delivery service, Pho on the Canal.”
