Battersea Power Station to host inaugural Wine Circuit festival

The Wine Circuit, a festival for both seasoned wine enthusiasts and curious newcomers, will take place at Battersea Power Station from 6th to 8th June 2025. The event, held at the riverside London landmark, will bring together British and international wines, offering a range of tastings, panel discussions, and food pairings.

The three-day festival will open on the evening of Friday 6th June with Strictly Bangers, a wine tasting and music session founded by Mark Gurney, Co-owner and Director at Bar Levan. Attendees will participate in blind tastings, a wine quiz, and enjoy DJ sets from Gurney and guests. The wine list for the evening has been curated by Bar Levan, with support from Paola Tich (The Beach Sommelier) and Natalia Ribbe (Ladies of Restaurants and Sete in Margate). Entries are priced at £35 per person.

Across the weekend, visitors can attend a series of ticketed wine tastings and panel talks led by industry experts. Topics include Why natural wine matters, featuring Desiree Chantarasak (AngloThai), Sunny Hodge (Diogenes The Dog/Aspen & Meursault), and Sinead Murdoch (Tasca), hosted by Honey Spencer, and A Journey Through British Wine with Abbie Moulton, author of Great British Wines. Other sessions will cover sparkling wine trends, alcohol-free options, and guidance on selecting rosé wines.

Power Station Park will host an open-air market with pop-ups from independent wineries such as Vagabond Wines, Beare Green Winery, Oxney Organic Estate, and Sandbridge Barton. Festival-goers can also participate in The Wine Cup, a tasting event where it would be possible to sample various wines and vote for Best in Show and Highly Commended entries. Tickets for The Wine Cup are £30 and include a branded tote bag, cup, and tasting card.

Food pairings will be available from a range of London vendors, including From the Ashes BBQ, Masa Tacos, Made of Dough, and Tasca. The team behind Fallow will serve their signature fried chicken, while Fowl offers frozen margaritas and wine towers.

Many of Battersea Power Station’s 150 shops, bars, and restaurants will also offer festival exclusives. For example, Vagabond Wines will hold wine and cheese tastings, and Searcys Champagne Bar will feature its Champagne Rolls-Royce bar.

Kate Boothman-Meier, Head of Communications & Marketing at Battersea Power Station Development Company, said: “Battersea Power Station has become one of London’s most beloved food and drink destinations, and we pride ourselves on our wide selection of bars, cafes and restaurants available across the riverside neighbourhood. We’re always keen to offer new and unique experiences to our visitors and we are excited to host our first-ever wine festival next month. We look forward to welcoming visitors for a weekend full of wine-themed activities suitable for wine aficionados and novices alike.”
