Miley Cyrus unveils visual album Something Beautiful, streaming on Disney+ this July

Miley Cyrus is returning to her Disney roots in a bold new way with Miley Cyrus: Something Beautiful, a full-length visual album set to premiere on Disney+ on 30th July. Described as a “pop opera fuelled by fantasy”, the film brings to life 13 brand-new songs from Cyrus’s latest studio album, blending music, storytelling and avant-garde visuals into a one-of-a-kind experience.

The project continues Cyrus’s creative evolution and deepens her long-standing connection with the Disney brand, following her recent recognition as a Disney Legend. Something Beautiful represents a new chapter in that relationship – both a personal statement and an artistic experiment, crafted in collaboration with some of the most visually daring talents in contemporary music and film.

Cyrus not only stars in but also co-directs the film, alongside Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter, with striking cinematography by Benoît Debie (Spring Breakers, Climax). The film is produced by Cyrus herself, along with XYZ Films and Panos Cosmatos (Mandy), in partnership with Sony Music Vision, Columbia Records and Live Nation.

The visual album first premiered at the Tribeca Festival on 6th June and enjoyed a limited one-night theatrical release across the US and Canada on 12th June. With its upcoming debut on Disney+, it’s poised to reach a global audience, showcasing a surreal, cinematic side of Cyrus that builds on her legacy as one of pop music’s most boundary-pushing figures.

Something Beautiful is expected to push stylistic limits while offering a raw, emotionally charged companion to the music itself – an immersive visual experience designed for both longtime fans and curious newcomers. The film will be available to stream exclusively on Disney+ from 30th July.
