Actors Lena Góra and Will Madden discussed Erupcja with The Upcoming at the Red Sea Film Festival. The film, a story about characters whose lives intersect and reconnect in Warsaw, follows Bethany on a romantic trip with Rob, whose past and friendship with Nel lead to unexpected “eruptions” that reshape their connections.

During the interview, Góra highlighted the feature’s non-preachy approach to human connection. She explained, “We’re picturing something so much bigger and so much greater, which is just love between people,” reflecting the movie’s unique exploration of relationships beyond labels. Madden shared insights into their collaborative filmmaking process, emphasising listening and shared ownership. Both actors praised director Pete Ohs’s method of creative spontaneity, describing the experience as akin to “being little kids doing a play”.
