Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer star in dark reimagining The Death of Robin Hood, coming soon to UK cinemas

Hugh Jackman and Jodie Comer lead the cast of The Death of Robin Hood, a gritty reworking of the legendary tale, set to arrive in UK and Irish cinemas soon via True Brit Entertainment and A24.

Directed by Michael Sarnoski (Pig, A Quiet Place: Day One), the film introduces a very different Robin Hood: older, wounded, and haunted by a lifetime of violence. After what he believes to be his final battle, Robin finds himself gravely injured and in the care of a mysterious woman who may offer him one last shot at redemption.

The star-studded cast also includes Bill Skarsgård, Murray Bartlett and Noah Jupe. With its revisionist tone and melancholic atmosphere, The Death of Robin Hood looks to bring a more grounded and introspective take to the familiar folklore, trading Sherwood forest swashbuckling for something closer to an emotional reckoning.

A trailer and first-look images have now been released, teasing a brooding period drama with sweeping landscapes and raw performances. While the official release date is yet to be confirmed, anticipation is already building for what promises to be a bold, character-driven retelling of one of Britain’s most enduring myths.
